Senior Fund Operations Specialist

Alfred Berg was established in Stockholm in 1863 and are today a Nordic asset manager. We are one of the most competent management environments for Nordic fixed income and Nordic equities. Total capital of NOK 246 billion is currently managed by our Nordic management team. We are 65 employees in total, 10 of whom are in Stockholm and 55 at the head office in Oslo. In recent years, we have expanded our product range to more than 50 funds. We are one of the fastest growing asset managers in Norway and Sweden and need you to go further. We hire a Fund Operations Specialist to strengthen the Investment Operations team. You will be part of a competent team that handles the day-to-day operations of the company’s funds and mandates. This is a visible, varied role with a wide contact surface in the organization. You interact with analysts, portfolio managers, banks, as well as internal resources within risk and compliance. You will work on varied tasks that give a very good insight into the operations carried out by asset managers. In addition, you will help in process improvements and in the work of setting up new products and funds.

The position is centrally located in Stockholm. Desirable you have experience from an operations (back/middle office) role in asset management, alternatively other companies in the financial industry. You have strong analytical skills and are strong in system technology, for example in the use of Excel and financial systems in general. But most importantly you are eager to learn. 

Assignments:
• NAV calculation of funds
• Preparation of investment reports for clients
• Valuation of interest rate swaps and bonds
• Bank reconciliations
• Settlement of transactions (shares, bonds and derivatives)
• Maintenance of portfolio data in back and front office systems
• Participate in internal improvement projects, routine, process and system improvements
• Support for analysts and portfolio managers

Qualifications:
• Higher education in economics or finance
• Relevant work experience
• Strong competence in Excel
• Fluent written and spoken in Swedish and English
